Apparently, we’re seeing Venus, Jupiter and a thin three-day-old crescent moon. What the photo doesn’t show, though, is how amazingly bright all three appear against the stars in the sky.

The Sheffield Shield is back with a new sponsor
After almost a decade of crass corporate marketing, the Sheffield Shield has reverted to it's original name. The competition, which was founded on a donation by the Earl of Sheffield in 1891 was hijacked in 1999 by corporate sponsor Pura, a subsidiary of San Miguel Corporation.
Fortunately, Cricket Australia has found a sponsor (Weet Bix) who is prepared to respect the traditions of the game and has given us back our Sheffield Shield cup.

I don’t care-I do NOT want “Sport” rammed down my throat by every radio and TV station in the city at the same time. Choice is something a few more people in power need to consider. No, I don’t want PAY TV either!
