Not good. It’s a precedent for others being able to access the vast data that Google accumulates on each and every user.

Absolutely - this is an important issue. I’m hoping that Google will fight it out.

I’m sure the EFF and others will band together with Google to fight the ruling. Of course, I wonder if it will further galvanise people to lobby Google to collect less individualised data (ie get rid of the IP addresses, etc, of Google users, etc, in their massive databases.)
