Worse, Seven is shipping the TIVO crippled so they can add revenue with software updates.  We covered why TIVO in Oz will fail here.

$699 for a device that lets you record Battle of the Choirs? People are all about the monthly payment, not the ridiculously large upfront cost for something that doesn’t really offer you anything.

Get yourself a Vista media Center PC and an Icetv (http://www.icetv.com.au) subscription and you will be saying Tivo who!

Vista media Centre? Really, if it is anything like the other Vista’s i wouldn’t touch it with a 100 foot pole. Apple TV? maybe, when it gets better.
