Eagles own review scathing of Leadership

The West Coast Eagles have released the findings of their own independent report into the culture and behaviour at the troubled club. Contained within the report are many statements damning of the clubs inaction at player behaviour. The report calls for John Worsfold and Trevor Nisbett's salary to be linked to the off field behaviour of the West Coast Players.

The reports states that, "The view of many stakeholders was that the culture of the playing group in the early to mid 2000s was marked by the arrogance and continued risk taking of a small number of senior players. These players were members of the Leadership group, highly influential within the playing group and were also the main parties involved in media catching incidents, including the alleged associations with underworld figures, rumours around drugs and alcohol abuse and other connected events."

The report also highlighted the lack of equality in dealing with several of the high profile players. Many stackholders believe the Eagles management overlooked the indescretions of key players in the playing group for the same of on field success.
