Apparently, we’re seeing Venus, Jupiter and a thin three-day-old crescent moon. What the photo doesn’t show, though, is how amazingly bright all three appear against the stars in the sky.

The countdown to Christmas 2008 has started

There is growing resentment to how far back into the year Christmas lights start going up - October is not uncommon - however Toys "R" Us have gone to the extreme and now have a Christmas countdown timer displayed prominently on their website. At the time of posting this article, it is at 347 days, 8 hours and 1 minute.
There is only so much mileage you can get out of using an annual event such as Christmas as a marketing opportunity. I wonder how Toys "R" Us plan on promoting any Easter sales while they're in permanent Christmas sale mode?

Well I spotted Easter Bunnies at Coles yesterday. Depressing really.
As for Toys “R” Us - they just lost what little of my business they had.
